Greetings
Friends!
This is a
short update to ask you to pray for us.
Martie was contacted by her gynecologist
today concerning her recent exam. Last
August after a MRI, we were told that Martie
had an apparent cyst on one of her ovaries.
After reviewing the MRI results and the
results from her exam on Monday, her doctor
called us recommending that she have surgery
to remove what appears to be a rapidly
growing mass near her ovaries. An initial
blood test indicated it did not appear to be
cancerous, however the doctor has scheduled
Martie for surgery on the 5th of
December. Please pray that the Lord will
bring healing, peace and assurance. She will
be in the hospital for 2 days, followed by a
5 day recovery period. She should be able
to resume her regular schedule after about 3
weeks ... just in time for Christmas.
I would
appreciate it if you could drop Martie a
short e-mail to let her know that you are
praying for her health, healing, and
recovery. Her e-mail address is

Follow-up
Dec 8, 2008
We want
to thank you all for your prayers for
Martie. She was released from the
hospital late yesterday afternoon
(Sunday). She is doing well. The tumor
was benign ... her surgery went well.
The doctor told us the day before the
surgery that he had to do a complete
hysterectomy. She seems to be healing
well and her spirits are good. No
infections or complications. She will
rest for a few days at Robert and Sue
Lumpkins in Eclectic, AL. She sees the
doctor on Wednesday and then, the Lord
willing, we will head back to
Mississippi.
Mitch
and Sandy Reed from High Desert Church
in California are minding the "store"
and doing a wonderful job. Thanks again
for your prayers and words of
encouragement.
God is
Good ... all the time!
Blessings on you
