  Greetings!

We trust that this e-mail finds you well. The Thanksgiving week has come and gone. It was a great blessing. Our camp hosted to meals for the community, the first on Monday and the second on Thursday. Both were well attended by the community. At the peak, we had 61 volunteers at the camp which had our tents bulging at the seems. But, everyone contributed to the recovery mission and blessed the local residents. Our volunteers came from East Thonotosassa BC, Plant City FL; Lakeland FBC, Lakeland FL; Bowmar BC, Vicksburg MS; Eclectic UMC, Eclectic AL; Forrest Park BC, Joplin MO; and 1st Christian Reformed Church, DeMotte IN.

In the midst of all of this, Martie and I were able to slip away for two days to spend some time with our daughters and their families. We have been blessed to have some volunteers here who were able to stay for three or more weeks. Sad to say, Dave and Ellie Bradley left for home yesterday. What a joy they are. They made huge contributions to the work here. We pray that the Lord will continue to bless them in the days ahead. Mike and Lois Nauman will be leaving us on the 15th of December. With Ellie gone, Lois has assumed full responsibility for overseeing the feeding of the volunteers. Mike helps with camp maintenance .. those tasks that are unseen by most but are felt by all when they are not done. It is important to have volunteers who are here for several weeks at a stretch. It provides consistency, stability and continuity at the camp allowing us to better serve the volunteers who come.

Some of the large volunteer organizations are making preparation to leave the area, some this month and more at the first of the year. Each has its niche. When the need for service they provide has passed, they move on. We have been asked -- many times -- "How long will you be here?" That is a two dimensional question. With respect to the camp.. We answer we are here for the duration. For us personally, our answer each time is "As long as the Lord has us here." I suppose that is another way of saying we don't know, but I think it is more saying -- "For as long as we are effective in ministry here". Martie and I have never been more convinced that we are exactly where the Lord wants us and doing what He has shaped us to do. 2 Thess 3:13 says that we are not to grow weary in doing good. We all have put our hands to the plow. What we all have been called to do here is much bigger than we are, so we won't grow weary so long as we "do good" in the Lord's strength. I don't think God calls us to do anything that we can do in our own strength, but to what He can do through us. The work can be very hard here, as many of your reading this can attest. But God is able to do exceeding abundantly more .. And will as we walk by faith.

We are making good progress on the homes in the area, but there are still so many that need to be helped. Each day more people stop by to ask for assistance. Pray with us that Shoreline Park will be established as a light on a hill -- that Jesus will be lifted up so that all "men" will be drawn to Him. Volunteers have been reaching out to the community and will continue to do so in the days ahead. We plan to visit and re-visit homes (read FEMA trailers) beginning this week to assess needs and bless the people with food and supplies. Pray that the Holy Spirit will go ahead of us to prepare the way, tenderizing hearts and embolding the saints who are serving and bring the message of the Gospel.

Friends, God has provided for Martie and I, in extraordinary ways. But then He is an extraordinary God isn't He? He is a "just in time" God. Please pray that our needs will continue to met. That God will continue to give us the wisdom, strength and resources we need to serve.

Thank you all so much for your partnership in this ministry. Martie and I thank our God for each one of you. Our prayer is that you will be blessed and continue to walk in the Way. Until next week
