Ministry

The ministry provided through this mission is in the form of both practical assistance to the local residents, helping them to recover and re-establish their homes (Matthew 25) and spiritual activities focusing on outreach to evangelize the lost and connect unchurched believers (Matthew 28).

The mission’s ministry focus is intentionally multi-cultural and inter-denominational reaching across the two people groups – unchurched residents and volunteers.

In support of the five purposes of the church, the emphasis of the mission will be:

Reconstruction

Facilitate the rebuilding of the community (Ministry)
- Empowering the residents to help themselves
- Bringing volunteers and resources from other churches

Spiritual Restoration

Provide a place to meet and to build relationships (Fellowship)
Promote spiritual restoration/encouragement
- Evangelistic Outreach/Share the Gospel (Evangelism)
- Gathering events – Praise and Worship (Worship)
- Teaching obedience / Discipleship / Bible Studies (Discipleship)

We are developing the scope of the mission incrementally. We are building partnerships with local and distant churches and para-church ministries. We are leveraging the network that we have built over the past months to encourage volunteers to augment our team.
