With the Gulf Coast transitioned from Disaster Relief to
Recovery, our focus has shifted from gutting homes and removing debris and
building sheds to
rebuilding/remodeling homes ... The objective .. Get people out of FEMA trailers
and back into their homes.
What we are doing is soliciting assistance from churches and
other groups to provide workers, and in
some special cases - materials, to help achieve our goal of getting people
back in their homes.
"Back in their homes" can be interpreted in a lot of
ways. What we mean is that the people have a safe, secure and sanitary
place to live. They will have flooring, paint on the walls, an HVAC system, kitchen
cabinets,
bathroom vanity, lighting and exterior/interior doors.
We will feature families and homes on this page.
What we would like you to do is pray about how your church might come along side them with
either volunteer labor or financial support. And then step out in faith to
what the Lord has revealed to you. |
